These communications may appear credible as they include accurate information about the stay and often request payments for balances, deposits, or alleged booking modifications.

What is happening

This situation involves the improper use of contact details and booking information by external parties, so as to induce guests to make fraudulent payments.

Information on personal data protection

As data controllers, we inform you that our provider of the booking management platform, acting as data processor pursuant to Article 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), has reported a security incident affecting its systems.

This event constitutes a personal data breach pursuant to Article 4(12) of the GDPR, with possible involvement of certain bookings managed through their platform.

According to the information received, the data potentially affected includes contact details and booking information (such as name, email address, phone number, and stay dates). No payment data or identity documents were involved.

In accordance with Articles 33 and 34 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we have:

• notified the incident to the Italian Data Protection Authority within the timeframe required by law;
• informed the potentially affected data subjects through direct communication;
• adopted the organizational measures within our responsibility to mitigate potential risks to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects.

The provider system company, in its role as data processor, has also implemented the necessary technical measures to contain the incident and prevent further unauthorized access.

We kindly invite all our guests, both current and future, to pay close attention to and follow these simple guidelines:

• do not make payments through links received via email, text messages, or WhatsApp messages unless they originate from our official channels and can be traced back to our official payment links;
• never share credit card details or other sensitive information through these channels;
• always verify any payment request by contacting us directly.

Payments must be made exclusively through our official communications and the channels listed below.
