When you think of your ideal Roman stay, what is it that you look for the most? Being in an area where locals still live and work? A place so central that you can move easily on foot from landmark to landmark? Somewhere where the “action” is and there is no shortage of bars, shops, restaurants? Well, we got you – our newest offering called Giubbonari 23 has all the above, and more!

The latest addition to our portfolio is a recently redone flat on the famous shopping street by the same name, seconds (not minutes!) away from Campo de’ Fiori. It can sleep up to 4 people in a building originally from the Middle Ages that underwent several renovations; as a result, this is one rare occurrence where you can find an elevator to take you right to your accommodation. Not a small feat in such a central area of historic Rome!

In the thick of it, but quiet

There’s a misconception, about Rome (or any other European city with a similar history) that if you want to enjoy the old town you will need to bid adieu to your hours of rest on account of how the area can be party central for most locals and tourists alike.

This is not the case for Giubbonari 23, which faces inwards and features double glazing windows – both help greatly reducing excess noise from the surrounding streets. While we haven’t tested the apartment against the occasional drunken youth, we have to say that as locals we have been pleasantly surprised by the calm atmosphere!

Staying on Via dei Giubbonari means being close to everything you might need for your first (or return!) stay in Rome: many different mom-and-pop shops are right around the corner, as well as famed restaurants, cafes and bars. And don’t get us started about the shopping!

On top of this, the apartment is conveniently located near some of the city’s top landmarks like Piazza Navona, the Pantheon or the Jewish Ghetto, which you can all reach in under ten minutes. Bus stops and taxi ranks are within walking distance, close enough that you can use either to get to the Colosseum (although walking there is pleasant enough!), the Vatican area or the main train station at Roma Termini. Even an area like Trastevere will be right at your fingertips, on account of how close the Ponte Sisto bridge to there is.

If you want more details for this accommodation, including a photo gallery, you can find them here.
