New at From Home to Rome: Via dei Cartari
Have you ever watched the “Stay Here” home renovation show on Netflix? There, famed British real estate expert Peter Lorimer insists that all properties on Airbnb or similar sites need to work on their “social media moment”.
That means that they need to have a feature – a room, a garden or simply a view – that is worth sharing on social media: whether it’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter – that is up to you, our guests. We will provide the rest!
A place with a view…
Enter Via dei Cartari, one of the most recent additions to our portfolio or vacation rentals.
Smack dab in the heart of Rome’s center, minutes away from Campo de’ Fiori, Piazza Navona or even Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican, this lovely two room apartment is tucked at the top of a medieval building.
Its social media moment? A cozy little terrace with sprawling views over the roofs of the city and the Janiculum Hill – on clearer days, you can even get to see the statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi there!
And what is extra clever about this flat is the fact that the terrace used to be much bigger: the owner opted to slice a bit off it to get an extra space – a small kitchen, to be precise.
… And a hideaway from the bustle of the city!
With these two architectural elements combined with Rome’s mostly mild climate for six to nine months each year, it’s easy to imagine yourself preparing your meals from scratch to dine al fresco or having drinks in the evening right on the terrace, enjoying the ancient, urban landscape around you. Now it that isn’t a social media moment!
Regardless of that, Via dei Cartari is perfect for a couple or a young family (the sofa turns into an extra bed!) – you can read all about it in its property description!
