Discovering Rome

Discovering Rome

Ciao! My name is Chiara, I’m a licensed Tour Guide and I can help you unveil the many secrets of my city, Rome.
A Roman born with a degree and a PhD in Art History, I’ve being working in this field since 2008 conducting exclusive private tours. The layered beauty and complexity of Rome, with centuries of history and countless works of art, is uniquely suited for a private, customizable tour experience. It’s the best way to enjoy the Eternal City to the fullest.

Below is a short list of the classic private tours available – all must-see, and the right choice for first-time visitors in Rome. Of course there are plenty of others to choose from, such as the ancient Roman city of Ostia, the Etruscan Necropolis in Cerveteri, the Borghese Gallery and more.
If you can’t find the tour you’re looking for, why not create your own perfect itinerary? I’m always glad to provide ideas and suggestions. Feel free to contact me. A private tour is tailored to your specific needs, combining exploration with freedom and fun!

The Ancient Rome tour consists of a walk through the archaeological area of the Eternal City. You will visit the imposing Colosseum, the largest Amphitheatre ever built in the Roman Empire, worldwide known for the cruel fights between beasts and gladiators. Thanks to your guide, you will discover everything about the organization of the games and the Roman building techniques.
Then, once admired the triumphal Arch of Constantine, the latest of the existing triumphal arches in Rome erected to commemorate Constantine`s victory over Maxentius in the Battle of Milvian Bridge, walking along the modern via dei Fori Imperiali you will be impressed by the amazing ruins of the Roman Forum, the old city centre, seat of all the main temples and buildings, like the Roman Senate.
The tour will end on the top of the Capitoline Square, beautifully designed by the Divine Michelangelo, seat of the City Hall and famous for the breathtaking view over the ruins of the Ancient City. On request is possible to visit the Palatine Hill with the ruins of the Imperial Palace!
